It is nothing short of rare that you can find two suburban-raised white kids who can make music that anyone can enjoy. Lux & P, hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, bring the industry a new addition to the rapidly transforming world we know as hip hop. The duo are one of a kind, being raised in the suburbs of Indianapolis, and bringing a new flavor to the game with every song they create. With Lux & P being brothers, the chemistry they share is unique, because their strong bond allows them to work together in ways that many artists might struggle with.
While many artists simply strive to mock and duplicate the style of what they hear on TV and radio, Lux & P make it a priority to be themselves with every aspect of their presentation. They are very unique with their music, while always maintaining a positive attitude and a level of professionalism that makes them a manager’s dream.
Over the past year, Lux & P have quickly become a force on the music scene. Because of the fact both are enrolled in college, catching fire on the big universities was nearly automatic. Lux & P have built a solid reputation at the college level by constantly stealing the show at fraternity parties and campus events, as well as being on several college radio stations. In addition to college radio, their smash singles “Stop Drop and Roll” and “That’s Me” have been routinely played on large market radio stations such as WHHH 96.3, WNOU 100.9, and WJEL 89.3 in Indianapolis. Currently, Lux & P are poised to blast their way into the scene even further with their highly anticipated singles “iPrtyCrzy” and “Whoa” set to release summer of 2009. Do not think for a second that Lux & P just want to be played on the radio and nothing more. Lux & P want to make albums, not just hit singles. The group, also known as “Your favorite White Boys,” shows a true passion for performing and interacting with their fans and peers.
Lux & P have had several great opportunities to shine, and as expected, took full advantage of each and every one of them. In the last year, they have performed at a Jive Records showcase, been a featured guest on the Hot Import Nights Car tour in Chicago, where they opened up for the well-known Colby O’Donis, and have kept a busy schedule of frat parties and campus concerts in between. Most recently Lux & P were a featured act in the Annual Purdue University Battle of the Bands Competition. They put on a very strong show in front of hundreds of their peers and received very good feedback from radio personalities as well as large amounts of the audience. In each of these opportunities, the sensational duo received tremendous support and a satisfying amount of positive feedback.
“Do not take this the wrong way, but I have never seen two white boys put it down like that”.
- Angela Richardson, A&R for Jive Records
The sky is the limit for the extraordinarily talented group. With their focus on being icons and entrepreneurs someday, Lux & P are dilligent workers and will stop for nothing on their way to the top of the charts. Outside of music, Lux & P vow to make a positive impact on the community, by maintaining their passion for giving back to their community and being positive role models for youth across the world. With Lux & P there is much more than music to benefit from. They are artists, role models, and truly grounded people. All of these attributes have played a role in their success and will continue to help them move towards pursuing their lifelong dream.
